Switch’s online subscription service allows users to play online multiplayer games, NES and Super NES games, and also offers services such as cloud storage. Nintendo has also added a new expansion pack tier to the service, and players who purchase a higher tier of the service will be able to play Nintendo 64 games, including The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Majora’s Mask, Super Mario 64 and more.

Nintendo also said it is working with DeNA on a new joint venture called Nintendo Systems, which will strengthen Nintendo’s digital business by developing and creating new value-added services to further strengthen relationships with consumers.

Switch game consoles shipped 3.22 million units in the second fiscal quarter ending in September, and the cumulative sales have exceeded 114.33 million units. However, Nintendo lowered its forecast for Switch console sales in fiscal 2022 to 19 million from 21 million.
