A few days ago Ningde Times on the interactive platform, reiterated the company’s goal, saying that the company is working to promote the industrialization of sodium-ion batteries in 2023.
Previously, Ningde Times said that in terms of the manufacturing process, sodium-ion batteries can achieve compatibility with lithium-ion battery production equipment and processes, and production lines can be quickly switched to complete the rapid layout of production capacity.
On July 29, 2021, Ningde Times released the first generation of sodium-ion batteries, with the energy density of the cell monomer reaching 160Wh/kg, which is the highest level in the world.
The power can reach 80% after 15 minutes of charging at room temperature. And in the environment of -20°C low temperature, it still has a more than 90% discharge retention rate.
Ningde Times’ plan is that the energy density of the second generation sodium ion battery will be above 200Wh/kg and the basic industrial chain will be formed in 2023.
