South Korea’s largest game developer Nexon recently announced a partnership with Tencent Cloud to jointly build a virtual world community platform NEXONTOWN based on Tencent Cloud’s real-time audio and video (TRTC) technology.
It is understood that Nexon Town is a virtual community where users can interact with items and characters from Nexon online games such as Rocky, MapleStory, and PopBob. Users can host online events and exchange digital files such as PDFs or videos in virtual conference halls, classrooms, and plazas. Users can also decorate their own space, such as a virtual house.
Nexon is a giant in the South Korean game industry, with well-known works such as “Dungeon and Fighter” (DNF), “Running Kart”, “Adventure Island” and “Bubble Hall”.
