News that Tencent Tianmei spin-off J3 studio: set up 4 new studios

According to interface news reports, on June 30 Tencent Games issued an internal email notice, the J3 studio of its Tianmei Studio Group (hereinafter referred to as “Tianmei”) to adjust, cancel the original Tianmei J3 studio, the establishment of Tianmei Y1, Y2, Y3 and G1 studio.

According to reports, the three new studios will be responsible for different businesses.

Y1 studio is responsible for the development and operation of FPS games including “Counter-Strike” and “Call of Duty Handheld”.

Y2 Studio is responsible for the development of global multiplayer games.

Y3 Studio is responsible for the development of Crossfire IP series of self-developed games.

In addition, the newly established G1 studio will create 3A products with global original IP, which is served by Gao Min, the head of international business of Tianmei.

Techgoing learned that J3 Studio was reorganized from J3 Center of Linlang Sky Studio, whose works include “Counter-Strike”, “Crossfire: Gunfight Kings”, and “Jedi: All Out”, although the game is not as hot as “Jedi: Stimulation Battlefield” (later renamed “Peace Elite”) made by Photon Studio.
