Newcloth released its first product, the ZPX-001 Martian Sunset phone case.
The product is made of Vectran fiber, the airbag material used to protect the Mars rover from a successful landing in the 1997 NASA Mars Pathfinder program, weighing only 15 grams and 0.75 mm thick, and supports Apple MagSafe.
The case claims to be the world’s first case made of spacesuit fiber, leading the traditional category of phone cases to a new level of technology.
The first edition of the ZPX-001 Martian Sunset case is priced at $99 (699 yuan) and limited to 2,000 pieces. “The Martian Pathfinder 25th Anniversary Edition is $149 (RMB 1099), limited to 200 pieces, and is available for purchase today.
