Multiple sources have recently revealed that Qualcomm is about to launch the Snapdragon SM8635 chip (expected to be named Snapdragon 8s Gen 3), and many manufacturers plan to use it, including Xiaomi.
According to blogger @digitalchat.com, Xiaomi SM8635 new phones are currently all equipped with 1.5K eye-protection screens, pure straight screens, 2.7D and other deep and slightly curved screens. They are equipped with 50Mp main cameras, and there are even arrangements for image co-branding. The battery is 5 It starts with 100W-level fast charging, and has a metal middle frame + glass body.
Judging from the blogger’s description, there is not only one new Xiaomi phone using this chip, but some netizens in the comment area speculated that it is the Xiaomi Civi 4 series or the Redmi Note series.
It is noticed that the blogger previously broke the news that Xiaomi Civi 4 series engineering machines use the Snapdragon 8 series flagship platform, Leica imaging co-branding, 1.5K 2.7D slightly curved dual-hole screen and use a metal middle frame.
The latest frequency of Qualcomm SM8635 processor is 13.01GHz Cortex-X4 + 42.61GHz Cortex-A720 + 3*1.84GHz Cortex-A520. The frequencies of large, medium and small cores are lower than Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
For reference, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is built using TSMC’s 4nm process. The CPU adopts a new 1+5+2 architecture, including 1 3.3GHz X4 large core, 3 3.15GHz A720 large cores, 2 2.96GHz A720 large cores and 2 2.27GHz A520 small cores. The GPU uses a frequency of 770- Adreno 750 at 903MHz.
