Valve has released a new driver for users who want to run Windows 10/11 on the Steam Deck. According to the company, the latest version includes various compatibility, security, stability and performance improvements for Steam Deck running Windows.
According to the official update page, the Windows driver for Steam Deck is updated with an APU driver, which still does not support dual systems, and to install Windows, you still need to erase SteamOS data and then install Windows.
Steam Deck is powered by AMD’s Van Gogh APU, which features a Zen2 architecture for the CPU part, with a 4-core specification of 2.4 GHz to 3.5 GHz. for the GPU part, Van Gogh APU integrates 8 CU of RDNA2 GPU at 1.0 GHz to 1.6 GHz, with a performance of 1.6 TFops FP32. The entire SoC has a TDP of 4 to 15W and supports LPDDR5 memory with 16GB capacity.
