We learned from relevant channels that the domestically produced new Tayron L Pro will officially start pre-sales at the 2024 Beijing Auto Show, which will open on April 25. The overall appearance of the new car highly restores the design of the overseas version, but the interior configuration has been changed. It provides a co-pilot entertainment screen and adopts a 5-seater layout. It is worth mentioning that the new car will be sold under the same roof as the current Tayron L in the future.
Looking at the appearance, according to previously exposed spy photos of the real car, it is the same as the overseas version of the new Volkswagen Tayron. The domestic model also offers standard and R-Line designs. The front face of the regular version adopts the latest family-style design. The chrome-plated grille runs through the entire front bumper, with iconic air intakes on both sides. The headlights are somewhat similar to the design of the ID. family. Decorative panels connect the headlights on both sides. The R-Line version uses a large area of honeycomb decoration on the lower surround, and is equipped with an “R” logo on the grille.
On the side of the vehicle, the new car still has a very muscular waistline. The entire body proportions are quite harmonious, showing the posture of a sports car. The large-size wheels are also particularly eye-catching. At the rear, the new car still uses a through-type taillight design, and the light groups are blackened, and the lighting structures inside the light groups on both sides are also recognizable.
As for the interior, the overall design of the previously exposed R-Line version emphasizes sportiness and avant-garde. The cockpit is full of technology, using a digital LCD instrument panel and a large floating central control screen. Compared with the European version, the domestic version adds a passenger screen. The gearbox commonly used by new forces also appears on the Tayron L Pro this time. The free shifting position is replaced by a knob screen.

In terms of model size, the length, width and height of the new car are 4735/1859/1682mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 2791mm. The length and wheelbase remain the same as the current Tayron L, while the height and width have increased by 20/9mm respectively. In terms of power, according to the application map information, the new car will be equipped with a 2.0T engine. Depending on the adjustment, the maximum power is 137kW/162kW respectively. The overseas version will also provide 1.5T+48V and plug-in hybrid versions. It is expected to be domestically produced. Models are expected to be launched later.
