The new Pioneer 17 gaming Laptop was launched by MSI at Computex Taipei in 2023.
In terms of hardware, the new Pioneer 17 gaming Laptop is equipped with an AMD Raider 7945 HX processor and RTX 4070 graphics card; the new machine is equipped with two 16GB DDR5 memory, supporting up to 64GB memory, 1TB solid state drive.
A key feature of this Laptop is WiFi 7 connectivity support, with Qualcomm FastConnect 7800 Wi-Fi 7 module inside, which can reach peak speeds of 5.8Gbps, as it uses multiple bands of high frequency (HBS) multi-line, claiming latency down to 2 milliseconds.
The B-side of the laptop features a 17.3-inch QHD display with 240Hz refresh rate support and 100% DCI-P3 color gamut.
In terms of connectivity, the new laptop supports WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.3; it comes with three USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports, USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 port, mini DP 1.4 port, HDMI 2.1 port and 3.5mm headphone jack.
MSI’s new Pioneer 17 gaming Laptop 2023 is priced from $1849 (currently about RMB 13,091).

Qualcomm FastConnect 7800 Wi-Fi 7 supports 5GHz, 6GHz and 2.4GHz bands, enabling high-frequency connectivity for four data streams in the 5GHz and/or 6GHz bands using two Wi-Fi radio frequencies simultaneously. Using 320MHz channels in the 6GHz band, or 240MHz channels in the 5GHz band available worldwide.
The FastConnect 7800 delivers peak speeds of up to 5.8Gbps on the 320MHz channel or paired 160MHz channels, and up to 4.3Gbps for areas where 6GHz spectrum is not available.
