Motorola’s new phone gets MIIT and 3C certification: with a 6.5-inch IPS LCD screen

Judging from all the recent certifications, Motorola may soon announce a new batch of smartphones. This November, Motorola Edge 40 Pro passed the MIIT and FCC certifications and will also be launched along with the Motorola Edge 40 Standard Edition. Today, the 3C and TENAA lists surfaced, and another Motorola smartphone passed the MIIT and 3C certifications, indicating that it is in the pipeline.

In both documents, the phone is shown as model XT2335-3, which also features a 6.5-inch IPS LCD display with 720 x 1600 resolution and an unnamed octa-core CPU chip running at 2.2GHz on the main core.

The phone will have 4GB, 6GB, 8GB and 12GB of RAM, as well as 64GB, 128GB, 256GB and 512GB storage variants. These configurations seem to be overkill for a low-end smartphone. The phone also has a built-in 5000mAh battery with 10W charging support.

The phone will have a 50-megapixel primary camera on the rear and a 2-megapixel secondary camera. An 8-megapixel selfie camera will be on the front.
