The Motorola Moto G42 will be taking a swing from a MediaTek processor as on its previous model to a Snapdragon processor. Scores of this device have popped up on Geekbench website with good scores for a budget device. Other available leaks also show the possible screen type of this coming device from Motorola.
The Moto G41 from last year made use of the MediaTek Helio G85 processor. On this year’s model, the Moto G42, the processor will be the Snapdragon 680. This is an upgrade from last year’s model, the new processor features will offer better battery life and CPU performance.

The amount of RAM the Motorola Moto G42 offers will start at 4GB, there might be more variants at launch. It’ll also launch with Android 12 out of the box, bringing new features to the overall Android experience. The screen type on this coming device will be an OLED panel. The screen size on this device will be somewhere around 6.4-inches, bringing it on par with last year’s model.
With the cameras, we can expect a triple rear camera setup, possibly with a 50MP main camera. It’ll also use a long-lasting battery capacity, as with the Moto G41 from last year. This device will retail at a budget price somewhere within the sub-2000 yuan segment. There is no information as to when we should expect this device, but its launch is fast approaching.
