The budget-friendly Motorola Moto G Play 2023 has been launched, and it comes with certain impressive specifications. This smartphone is currently available for pre-order or registration via the company’s official website. With this new device, Motorola kept things simple with not only the design but also its specifications and features.
Considering this smartphone’s target market, its specifications are not extraordinary as it aims at buyers who aren’t willing to spend much on a smartphone. The processing power on the new Motorola Moto G Play 2023 is the MediaTek Helio G37, which doesn’t come with 5G support. Joining the 4G-enabled processor is a 3GB RAM capacity with an expandable 32GB worth of expandable storage.

The Moto G Play 2023 also comes with a 6.5-inch IPS TFT LCD screen display supporting a 90Hz refresh rate. Due to its pricing, the build material of this new device is plastic and comes with three rear cameras. Motorola did well to offer a 16MP main camera on this device, with two secondary cameras for taking clear pictures.
Although this might not be the best camera available in the budget smartphone market, it will assure users of quality pictures. On the front is a 5MP selfie camera that sits in the centre screen cutout, and it comes with a ton of software integrations for clearer pictures. To improve the protection of this device, it comes with an IP52 rating, making it water-repellent to prevent damage from splashes of water on the device.
For its software, the Motorola Moto G Play 2023 runs Android 12 with little customization, giving an almost stock Android experience. Also, the device comes with a 5000mAh battery capacity and supports 10W fast charging which is normal for devices in this price range. Currently, the Moto G Play 2023 is on registration awaiting its official sale, once available it will start at $170.
