Motorola previously launched a smartphone designed for business users called the Lenovo ThinkPhone. this phone not only allows file sharing and transfer without Internet or Bluetooth connectivity but also allows you to easily stream applications to your computer and view notifications, calls, and other information on your computer. Today, Motorola announced some upcoming new features that will make the ThinkPhone an even more useful tool for employees who need a Windows experience on the go.
One of these features will allow the ThinkPhone to access Microsoft’s Windows 365 cloud PC service. Motorola’s blog writes: “Customers can get the full Windows PC experience by combining ThinkPhone with any Lenovo display as well as Bluetooth accessories to use their personalized apps, content and settings wherever they are.”
Additionally, Motorola has expanded the use of the ThinkPhone’s red buttons, which will soon be used to access the walkie-talkie app in Microsoft Teams, the blog writes: “By quickly programming the red buttons to invoke walkie-talkie mode, users will have the ability to have instant push-to-talk (PTT) communications. This feature requires no setup and perfectly integrates the Red Button with the Walkie-Talkie app in Microsoft Teams, making it easy to instantly communicate with a specific team or department immediately using a Teams channel.”
Both features will be available to ThinkPhone users in the coming weeks. The Lenovo ThinkPhone by Motorola (that’s the full name of the device) features a 6.6-inch FHD+ display with a 144Hz refresh rate. a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, a 5,000mAH battery, 8GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, and a 50-megapixel primary camera, and is IP68 rated for dust and water resistance. Prices start at $700 (currently around RMB 5,061).
