Motorola announced today that it has enabled support for the Jio 5G network on 10 eligible devices sold in Asian countries. The devices will support 13 5G bands on the Jio True 5G network.

Motorola 5G users will be able to use Jio’s 5G standalone network independent of LTE, will have the “largest and best combination of 5G spectrum across the 700 MHz, 3500 MHz and 26 GHz bands” and will be available via 3CA (3 Carrier Aggregation) and 4X4 MIMO and other technologies to achieve a perfect connection.
These Motorola smartphones currently only support the Jio True 5G network and plans to support 5G networks from other operators have not yet been announced.

The Jio True 5G network can be used in major cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Varanasi, Chennai, and Bangalore in India. The full list includes more than 60 cities, districts and districts where the operator has committed to bringing 5G to “every town, every sub-district, every administrative district” in India by December 2023.
