Moto G32 European launch: Snapdragon 680 chipset + 6.5-inch 90Hz LCD screen

The new Moto G32, priced at 210 euros, will also be available in India and Latin America “in the next few weeks” after its first launch in Europe, GSM Arena says, at the same price as the Moto G42 and around 250 euros for the Moto G52/G62 5G models. In terms of configuration, the Moto G32/G42/G52 are all powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chipsets.

While the sea of machines has left consumers in limbo, the Snapdragon 680’s CPU performance is a cut above the MediaTek Helio G85 that powers the Moto G31 (though the GPU performance is a little less impressive).

In terms of storage, the new Moto G32 is available with 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM / 6GB RAM + 128GB ROM combination, but the Moto G42 only offers 4GB RAM.

As for the screen, the Moto G32 has a 6.5-inch @ FHD+ resolution 90Hz LCD screen, while the Moto G42 has a 6.4-inch @ 60Hz refresh rate AMOLED screen.

In terms of battery, all three models have a built-in 5000 mAh, but only the Moto G32 / G52 models support 30W wired fast charging — in a way, you can think of the G32 as an affordable LCD version of the G52.

All four phones, including the Moto G62 5G, feature the same camera setup, with a 16MP front-facing selfie camera (with Quad Bayer filter) centered at the top of the screen.

The main rear camera is a 50MP @ 1/2.76-inch (0.64 μm pixel) sensor, coupled with an 8MP @ 118° ultra-wide angle and a 2MP macro lens.

However, perhaps due to SoC performance limitations, they can only record 1080p @ 30fps video. The Moto G32 is also available in single or dual SIM versions and the SIM 2 slot doubles as a microSD card slot.

Unfortunately, the Moto G32 is just a regular 4G smartphone, complemented by Bluetooth 5.2 + Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac), Near Field Communication (NFC) and a 2.0 standard USB-C charging/data port.

But as an entry-level model, the Moto G32 at least offers dual speakers + a 3.5mm headphone jack and doesn’t cut out the FM radio feature.

Finally, it measures 161.8 x 73.9 x 8.5 mm and weighs 184 grams. The body is water resistant and is available in Mineral Gray, Stain Silver and Rose Gold colorways.

For retail packaging, the Moto G32 comes standard with a USB-C cable, a SIM removal pin, and a quick start guide, but individual market regions may not come with a charging headset, protective case, or headphones.
