Investment bank Morgan Stanley analyst Erik Woodring (Erik Woodring) recently released a market research report, predicting that in the fourth quarter of 2023, Apple’s iPad business revenue fell significantly.
The agency estimated that this quarter’s iPad business revenue was $7.2 billion (currently about RMB 52.632 billion), compared with $9.4 billion (currently about 68.714 billion) in the same period last year, a decline of 23%.
Erik Woodring said Apple updated the iPad Pro models and launched the 10th-generation iPad last October, while sources say Apple will release the iPad Air, iPad mini, and 11th-generation iPad this week, so the sales figures are not directly comparable.
A number of sources, including Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, don’t think Apple will unveil a new iPad this week, while others say it will choose to unveil a new iPad tomorrow, so it’s impossible to tell which side of the story is true or false until an official announcement is made by Apple.
Apple hasn’t released any new iPads this year, and if it still chooses not to, it would be the first calendar year in its 13-year history that Apple hasn’t released a new iPad.
