More than 800 models support Apple CarPlay, but latency and lag still plague its ecosystem

Apple recently announced that more than 800 models already support CarPlay, but according to the latest review by automotive media Edmunds, there are still significant delays and lag.

Founded in 1995 and headquartered in Santa Monica, Edmunds is an online car information database that offers incentives and discounts, dealer and inventory listings, vehicle test drive reviews, car buying tips and advice information, and, crucially, new and used car prices.

Edmunds Media connected an iPhone on a Lucid Air model and tested it and found that Apple CarPlay has significant latency and lag, and is not responsive enough for users to have a good experience.

Digital blogger Marques Brownlee has previously reported experiencing the same issues. He believes Apple may not be able to fix this problem with CarPlay and recommends that users try it out before buying to avoid a laggy experience.
