Brelyon, a start-up company of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, has created a new type of ultra-immersive display technology and demonstrated the concept product Brelyon Fusion at CES 2023. OLED display with field angle FoV.
Brelyon Fusion, a concept display technology, is the world’s first 8K desktop virtual display featuring a semi-circular design featuring the latest innovations in computing and light field expansion, as well as surround video conferencing using synthetic aperture technology and spatial audio — All without wearing a headset.

Available in screen sizes over 110 inches and up to 122 inches, this OLED screen has an ultra-wide 155° field of view thanks to Brelyon’s light-extending and depth-modulating technology. Additionally, the device has an ambient noise suppression system, similar to active noise cancellation for headphones.

“Brelyon Fusion allows mixed light to scale the field of view in a new way, thereby doubling resolution,” said Barmak Heshmat, CEO and founder of Brelyon.

Brelyon Fusion is currently only a prototype product and will not be put on the market for the time being. The company said it is expected to be mass-produced in 3-4 years.
