Mini has partnered with Pokemon to develop a Pikachu-themed concept pure electric car, which Mini showcased at a live event at the opening night of the Cologne International Game Show. The car can be connected to a game console and use the car to project the game onto objects in front of it.
The car is based on Mini’s Aceman concept car announced in July, and the vehicle has a “Pokémon mode” where Pikachu will occupy the vehicle’s main display when the vehicle is started, and its iconic digital lightning bolt will run across the entire dashboard.
The coolest part of this concept car is the ability to connect a game console and then use the vehicle’s external projector to project the game onto the object in front of you, but of course, the darker the environment, the better, and you must find a flat surface so that the projection is not distorted.
Mini didn’t provide any information about which console the car will support – it’s just a concept car, after all – but if Mini does manage to include this feature in its future cars, it’s sure to be very popular.
