The Milk-V Mars is a credit card-sized single-board computer that looks a lot like the Raspberry Pi, but instead of an ARM-based processor, this small PC uses a 1.5GHz StarFive JH7110 quad-core processor based on the RISC-V architecture.

The Milk-V Mars single-board computer measures 85 mm x 56 mm (3.3 in. x 2.2 in.) and supports 1GB to 8GB of LPDDR4 memory, as well as an eMMC slot for flash storage and a microSD slot for mobile storage.

The Milk-V Mars single-board computer ports and connectors as follows:

  • 1 HDMI
  • 1 MIPI-DSI (2 channels)
  • 1 MIPI-DSI (4-channel)
  • 1 Gigabit Ethernet
  • 3 USB 3.0 Type-A
  • 1 USB 2.0 Type-A
  • 1 USB-C (5V / 3A power input)
  • 1 M.2 E-Key (for WiFi and Bluetooth cards)
  • 1 x 40-pin GPIO General Purpose Input/Output

Milk-V says the single-board computer can support up to two displays, play H.264 and H.265 video at up to 4K/60fps, and encode H.265 video at up to 1080p/30fps if users use both the HDMI port and a MIPI-DSI connector.

The minicomputer can be used as a fanless PC, but also has pins for connecting a 5V fan, and the GPIO header connector includes a power input in addition to power using the USB-C port and also supports Power over Ethernet.
