At the meeting, Wang Jianwei, deputy director of the Department of Information Technology Development, introduced that in recent years the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology strongly supports the development of operating systems, in terms of mobile operating systems, supports backbone enterprises to carry out core technology research, accelerate the promotion of mobile operating system applications and ecological construction, of which HarmonyOS operating system installed base has exceeded 300 million units.
In the server operating system, promote the server operating system and mainstream CPU, database, middleware and other software and hardware compatible adaptations, accelerate the improvement of the international competitiveness of the product, of which the Euler operating system terminal deployment exceeded 1.7 million sets.
It is understood that in July this year, Huawei HarmonyOS OS 3 operating system was officially released, the new system supports more devices to join the super terminal and improves HarmonyOS Smart Link, universal card, smooth performance, privacy and security, information accessibility and other aspects.
According to Huawei’s HarmonyOS OS 3 100-device upgrade plan, the first batch of upgraded models is P50, P50 Pro, P50 Pocket, Mate 40, Mate 40 Pro, Mate X2, MatePad 11, etc.
The timeline of the whole upgrade plan starts from September this year to 2023, and the upgradeable models cover Huawei phones, Huawei Smart Screen, Huawei Watch, Huawei Tablet and some Honor phones.
