According to a tweet by @Kepler_L2, mid-range RDNA 3 graphics cards like the Radeon RX 7600 XT will use Navi 33 GPUs. Previous news said that Navi 33 will be equipped in the Radeon RX 7700 series, and new rumors say it will also appear in the Radeon RX 7600 series. The Radeon RX 6600 series currently uses Navi 23, so it can be expected that upgrading to Navi 33 will have a noticeable improvement in performance.

The Navi 33 GPU based on the RDNA 3 architecture can be regarded as a mid-range chip and is an optimized version of the Navi 21 based on the RDNA 3 architecture. Navi 33 will be based on TSMC’s 6nm process and should be 360-460 mm² in size. Compared to the Navi 21 GPU (500 mm²) used in the high-end Radeon 6000 series, the die area is reduced by 11-30%.

Core takeaways of Navi 33

● TSMC 6nm production process (Monolithic GPU design)

● RDNA3 graphics core (enhanced clock frequency/performance)

● 8GB of GDDR6 memory optimized on 128-bit bus

● Faster GDDR6 memory speed

● Discrete performance equal to or better than RX 6900 XT

● Better ray tracing performance than RX 6900 XT
