Microsoft today invited a small number of users to test the latest Skype Insiders preview. This update introduces many features, the most noteworthy improvement is the improvement of the file download experience. improves saving experience
In the latest Skype Insiders preview, the “Automatically download files” option is set, and users can no longer manually click the “Download” button after enabling it.
The Skype Insiders preview version improvements are as follows:
Seamless automatic downloads:
Tired of manually downloading each file? Users can open Settings -> Messages -> Automatically download files.
After users enable it, all files sent to you will be downloaded automatically. What’s more, once the download is complete, the system recognizes the file type and automatically displays a vibrant icon.
Remove redundant buttons:
In our earlier design, the file had a “Download” button, after downloading, it changed to an “Open” button.
Microsoft has simplified the process in the new preview. With automatic downloads enabled, just tap or click anywhere on a received file to instantly open and view it. This experience is consistent across all platforms.
Save easily:
While automatic downloads allow you to view files immediately, we understand that sometimes it is necessary to save these files to your device.
On desktop platforms, right-click to select the “Save As” option from the menu; on mobile devices, open the file and select the “Share” option.
In addition to the above-mentioned new features, the latest Skype Insiders preview version has improved the stability of the app and fixed multiple bugs such as the inability to call the camera in the Android version.
