Microsoft’s own Linux distribution, CBL-Mariner 2.0.20221203 update released

Perhaps in many people’s impression, Microsoft’s most famous operating system is Windows, but did you know that Microsoft also has its own Linux distribution? Microsoft released the CBL-Mariner 2.0.20221203 update today, but the distribution is mainly to meet Microsoft’s internal needs.

The CBL-Mariner 2.0.20221203 update fixes some bugs found in previous releases, adds some new packages, and enables new features such as HTTP2 and TCP congestion control algorithms.

The new packages in CBL-Mariner 2.0.20221203 add Tensorflow, kernel-hci-signed / kernel-hci-drivers-gpu, Python-Google-Pasta, Python-libclang, and many other Python add-ons.

CBL-Mariner is a free and open-source Linux distribution developed by Microsoft and officially released in 2020. CBL-Mariner is a server-side Linux distribution used primarily for Microsoft’s cloud infrastructure and edge computing products and services.
