Microsoft’s Xbox Series S|X console has sold more than 2 million units in the UK market in 128 weeks, 12 weeks faster than the Nintendo Switch, according to the latest report from GfK Statistics.
The report says Microsoft launched the Xbox Series S|X console in the UK market in November 2020, cumulatively generating £696 million for Microsoft (currently about RMB 6.062 billion) and achieving the 2 million unit milestone 12 weeks faster than the Nintendo Switch.
The Xbox Series S|X console, while a bright achievement, still falls short compared to the Xbox One (104 weeks), Xbox 360 (110 weeks) and Sony PlayStation 5 (98 weeks).
It’s also worth noting that the Xbox Series S|X console also suffered from supply shortages and other problems during its launch in the U.K. If it hadn’t been affected, it would have achieved its goal of 2 million units in a shorter period of time.
