Microsoft has released a preview update for Windows 11 Android Subsystem (WSA) version 2304 on GitHub, specifically version number 2304.40000.3.0, which brings several feature improvements.
The update is as follows:
- Application package validation on WSA: Android applications can be scanned using the anti-virus software on Windows before installation.
- Users can customize the amount of memory allocated to the Android subsystem
- Android apps will launch normally when users open a supported app link from any app (Android AppLink support)
- Linux kernel update to 5.15.94
- WSA reliability and performance improvements
As you can see from the screenshot, users can choose WSA memory usage of 2/6/16GB or customize the size, which defaults to 6GB.
