Microsoft: Win10 22H2 is ready for wide deployment

0

Last month, Microsoft rolled out Windows 10 2022 Update (22H2), which provides “a limited set of productivity features” for users who are unwilling or unable to update to Windows 11.

Today Microsoft said that Windows 10 version 22H2 is ready for widespread deployment, Neowin reported. Microsoft has not yet revealed the productivity features added to the release.

Widespread deployment is the final rollout phase in the Windows release lifecycle, meaning that a large number of compatible computers will receive update notifications, not just devices that choose to actively “check for updates.

In addition, the Windows 11 2022 update (22H2) is now available to all users who manually check for updates, while the original version of Windows 11 was widely deployed in May 2022.

Microsoft will soon discontinue support for Windows 10 version 21H1, which will end its lifecycle on December 13, 2022, according to the official documentation.
