Microsoft recently announced that Outlook REST API v2.0 will cease support on March 31, 2024. The API was originally planned to be phased out in November 2022, but following strong protests from its loyal customer base and partners, it was announced in November last year that the phase-out plan was temporarily on hold.

Note: Outlook REST API is mainly used by developers to manage mailbox data, calendars, contacts, push notifications, etc. in applications. However, Microsoft has considered it obsolete since 2020 and has been encouraging customers to migrate to Microsoft Graph.

For enterprises that rely heavily on the Outlook REST API, Microsoft said it will further optimize the migration process, update and integrate legacy code, and ensure a smooth transition of related functions.
