While Microsoft today released a preview update for the Canary and Dev channels, it also introduced a new Paint application for the above preview version, which natively supports dark mode.

Win11 users in the Canary and Dev channels can upgrade the drawing application to version 1.2304.17.0, which can automatically switch between dark and light themes following the system settings.
This update also optimizes the zoom controls, allowing users to more flexibly control the view of content on the canvas. Based on the default classic presets, users can adjust the zoom slider to achieve finer zoom-in and zoom-out, or customize the zoom value.
It is learned from reports that image properties are now more in line with the Windows 11 design style, and the new dialog box introduces many accessibility and usability improvements, as well as improved support for keyboard shortcuts.
