Microsoft Teams users can create calendar invitations for private appointments, offline face-to-face meetings, lunch breaks, and other events.
This feature is similar to the “offline” feature that already exists in Outlook, where users do not need to attend scheduled video meetings and can register their user status as offline.
Note: Users can schedule offline meetings just like traditional meetings, but with an additional “online” switch that can be turned off when creating calendar events.
By doing so, Teams will not automatically generate online meeting links. These offline Teams meetings will not have chat threads or other Teams online meeting items.
