Microsoft Surface product specifications and details leak ahead of launch

On October 12 Microsoft Surface will be preparing to launch its new product line up and leaks have shown a bit of what we can expect. Among the products to make the stage during this launch event are two laptops, the Surface Pro 9 and the Surface Laptop 5. The specifications of both devices have hit the internet in recent leaks which show the various variants of these coming laptops.

The Surface Pro 9 will launch in three variants the consumer, commercial, and 5G model. Both the consumer and commercial models will come with Intel 12th generation processors, but the 5G model will launch with a Snapdragon processor. The leak reveals that the Surface Pro 9 will launch with a 13-inch screen with a 50.2WHr battery, available colours are Platinum, Graphite, Forrest, and Sapphire.

For performance, the Surface Pro 9 will launch with the 12th Gen Intel Core i5-1245U and Core i7-1265U for its consumer version. The commercial version will launch with the 12th Gen Intel Core i5-1235U and the Core i7-1255U. The 5G version of this coming tablet will launch with the Snapdragon 8cx G3 processor, all three versions will offer 8GB and 16GB worth of RAM but the consumer and commercial versions will also have a 32GB RAM option.

For the Surface Laptop 5, rumours claim that it will launch with both 13-inch and 15-inch (both supporting 120Hz refresh rate) screen size options. The processor options on this will be the 12th Gen Intel Core i5-1245U and the Core i7-1265U on its consumer version and the 12th Gen Intel Core i5-1235U and the Core i7-1255U processors for the commercial option. The memory option on this coming laptop will range up to 32GB worth of RAM and its battery capacity will offer up to 19 hours on a single charge.

According to the rumours, the available colours on the Surface Laptop 5 are Platinum and Black. Microsoft Surface will also launch other products during their October 12 event, more details on the products will be available in the coming days. All devices (laptops and PCs) to make the stage during this launch event will run Windows 11 and be available for purchase globally.
