Microsoft Surface has two Windows product line-ups to its name, and the company might be planning to add a third product to focus on a different field. Both the Tablet and laptop product ranges from Microsoft do not launch with a special focus on gaming, but instead on design and performance. Reports are now showing that the company seems to be shifting its attention to the gaming laptop market.
Recent leaks on a coming laptop for Microsoft show off certain features that are common with gaming laptops. Starting from this said laptop’s screen to its processor and storage capacity, it has max performance written all over itself. But we need to take whatever information from the leaks with a pinch of salt, as Microsoft Surface have made no comments on this coming laptop.

From the available information on this coming laptop, it will hold the largest screen size in the history of Surface products. At 16-inches, this gaming-oriented Surface laptop will use a PixelSense Flow Display supporting a 165Hz refresh rate. Currently, the largest screen size on any Surface laptop is 15-inches, found on a configuration of the Surface Laptop 4.
According to our sources, the processor on options on this coming laptop will come from the Intel 12th Gen processors. Sources say that the Microsoft Surface gaming laptop will come in two configurations one using the Intel i5-12500H processor and the second using the Intel i7-12700H processor. For its graphics card, both models will make use of the NVIDIA GeForce GPUs one being the RTX 3050 with 4GB memory and the other the RTX 3070 with 8GB memory.
From available information, the battery capacity on this laptop series will assure users of up to 16 hours of typical usage. The launch date and official specifications of this device are not yet available but we expect to see this device launch before Q2 2023. Pricing will sit within the $1200-$1500 price point judging from the pricing of available Microsoft Surface laptops.
