The Microsoft Store version of Fallout 76 (Fallout 76) is failing to update the game and in some cases is even preventing the game from starting, according to a report by foreign tech media Windows Central.
Specifically, the problem is with the Microsoft Store version of the Fallout 76 game. According to Reddit users, the game cannot be updated via PC Game Pass. The Steam version of the game is unaffected.
Bethesda’s official support account later acknowledged the issue, with the following translated tweet: “We’ve learned that PC players are unable to download the Fallout 76 game update through the Microsoft Store. We have been working with Microsoft and will resolve this issue as soon as possible”.
Affected users will see a 95.7GB update and an error message. 95.7GB is the size of the entire game and the correct update package size should be 6.9GB.
