Microsoft sends invite for the launch event on October 12, new products will arrive

Microsoft announced that it will hold a launch event on October 12, 2022, at 10 a.m. EDT and released a colorful poster modified according to the Windows 11 desktop wallpaper, which is expected to launch a new generation of Surface computers.

Microsoft’s Surface series will celebrate its 10th anniversary on October 26 this year, so the new Surface products in October are especially worth waiting for. According to previous reports, the Surface Pro 9, Surface Laptop 5, Surface Studio 3, and possibly even a Surface Gaming gaming book will be launched.

Microsoft’s annual Ignite conference will also be held from October 12 to 14, 2022, so the new launch will be held with the Ignite conference.

According to previous reports, Microsoft is developing the Surface Pro 9 2-in-1 device, which is expected to be released within the year, and will be available in both Intel and ARM versions, with the Surface Pro X product line being merged.

WinFuture claims to have gotten information from retailers about the Intel version of Surface Pro 9 with Intel Core i5-1235U and i7-1255U processors. In addition to the usual silver and black colors, there will also be a green version called “Forest” and a blue version called “Sapphire”.

The ARM version of the Surface Pro 9 is expected to be equipped with a Snapdragon 8cx Gen3 processor with 16GB of RAM and 5G support, and has appeared on the Geekbench scoring platform with a single-core score of 1005 and a multi-core score of 5574, and has passed FCC certification.

Microsoft will also release the Surface Laptop 5 at the same time, with the same 13- and 15-inch screen as its predecessor, according to the tipster rquandt. The Surface Laptop 5 is expected to be powered by Intel Core i5-1235U and i7-1255U processors, while the AMD Raron processor version may be cut, which is currently in doubt.

Official renders of the new Microsoft Surface keyboard and mouse, and stylus has appeared in a recent update to the Surface app for Windows, and these new accessories could be available this fall along with the upcoming Surface Studio 3.

In addition, based on specs found by Prime Gaming, it appears that Microsoft is preparing to launch its first gaming-focused Surface Gaming laptop with 12th Gen Core Standard + RTX 3050 Ti / 3070 Ti graphics, though the revealed specs have a number of question marks.
