Microsoft today for the Beta channel of Office users released Version 2309 update, One of the most noteworthy adjustments is that the web version of Word no longer supports saving “view only” documents.

- Fixed the problem that the Compare button was greyed out and unavailable when opened on the desktop and logged in to the account.
- Fixed an issue where documents with “View Only” permission could be saved.
- Fixed the error message “The file format you are trying to open has been set to block in the Trust Center”. When Application Guard is enabled for Office and the “Open selected file types in protected view and allow editing” setting is enabled, this error is displayed when attempting to open a file type marked as open in protected view.
