Optimized and Enhanced Safe Mode
Enhanced Safe Mode now adds support for WebAssembly on ARM64 devices. Microsoft now provides cross-platform support for x64 Windows, x64 macOS, x64 Linux, and ARM64.
Adds new functionality to Web Application Policies
Introduces the WebAppInstallForceList policy, which allows administrators to configure a list of Web applications. These applications can be installed silently on the user’s device without user interaction and cannot be uninstalled or closed by the user.
Built-in JSON viewer in the browser
Improved display of JSON files in the browser, including color-coded tree views with line numbers and the ability to collapse and expand data. This feature is automatically triggered when the browser navigates to a JSON file on the Web or when the user opens a local file.
Optimized New Tab Page Policy:
The NewTabPageHideDefaultTopSites policy was introduced to allow Edge browser new tab pages to hide popular sites by default. This policy is effective as of March 20 and when enabled will also remove sponsored quick links from the new tab.
