Microsoft recently issued a press release announcing that PWABuilder team cooperation, before September 15, free of charge $ 19 registration fee, to encourage developers to publish PWA applications on the Microsoft Store.
Developers who want to distribute applications on the Microsoft Store need to spend $19 (currently about RMB 139) to register a developer account.
Microsoft said that from today to September 15, qualified developers can get a developer account for free, and can publish PWA applications on the Microsoft Store for free.
According to Microsoft’s blog post, the following requirements for eligible developers:
- Require at least one installable PWA app that includes all required manifest fields and implements at least two desktop enhancements
- Need to live in the countries and regions listed in Partner Center.
- Have a valid Microsoft account that can be used to sign up for a Microsoft Store on a Windows developer account.
- Do not currently have a Microsoft Store account
- Create a Microsoft Store on Windows Developer account with the App Store Token within 30 calendar days of Microsoft sending you the token, and use the same Microsoft account you used to sign in here.
- Plan to publish your app in the Store this calendar year (before midnight PST on December 31, 2023)
