Microsoft Games CEO Phil Spencer said growth in the Xbox Game Pass console business is slowing while noting that the company has “seen phenomenal growth in the PC space. Microsoft said last October that PC Game Pass subscriptions were up 159 percent year-over-year.

As a thank-you gift, those testing PC Game Pass in these new markets will receive a free two-month membership, which Jerret West, chief vice president of marketing for Xbox games, said “will be activated directly in member accounts in the coming days.” Microsoft is also offering a “special welcome offer” for the first three months of PC Game Pass in these new markets, with prices varying by country.

A few hours ago, Microsoft also announced a new cloud gaming partnership with UK mobile operator EE. The agreement involves Xbox PC games coming to EE subscribers and may suggest that Microsoft is ready to bring full PC games to its Xbox cloud gaming service.
