Microsoft recently released a preview, said it will enhance the web version of Outlook’s search experience, including support for multi-account search, can display more than 1,000 search results, recursive search and so on.

Multi-account search – estimated to go live in July 2024
Search results can show results for all email accounts in the app. Users only need to search once to return relevant content in all inboxes.
1000+ Search Results – Estimated to go live January 2024
Allows users to return more than 1000 results in a single search.
Folder/Subfolder Recursive Search – Estimated to be live November 2023
Searches return content stored in the home folder and content stored in all of its subfolders.
Improvements to the search box interface – estimated to go live September 2023
Improvements to the search experience with higher color contrast in the input area, borders and fonts, and fine-tuning of all themes such as light and dark colors to make them more prominent and discoverable.
These search improvements apply to the web version of Outlook, but Microsoft says they will be extended to other platforms such as mobile.
