In recent times, Microsoft has been keen to move new Windows 11 features directly to Windows 10, and the Photos app is the latest example, Microsoft has replaced the old Photos app in Win10 with a brand new version on Windows 11.

This new Photos app offers a number of features compared to the old version, such as a new way to edit photos and a new movie strip feature. Another notable feature is the multiple emphasis on images, which is the most touted feature in the new version of the Photos app.
Despite this, there are still many people who prefer the old Photos app. As you can see from posts in the Feedback Center or Microsoft’s Q&A forums, users are eager for Microsoft to bring old features like “Clarity” and “Fix Blotchy” to the new Photos app.

One user emphasized that the new Photos app lacks the Clarity feature (which in the old Photos app was similar to the Clarity slider in Photoshop).
Many other users also shared their reliance on the Clarity feature. One user said they don’t need fancy photo effects, they just want their photos to look sharp.
Overall, while Microsoft may consider their Photos app to be an upgrade, there were also many users who disagreed and said that they needed some of the features in the older version more than others.
