The Microsoft Flight Simulator game has recently been updated with World Update XIII, allowing virtual pilots to explore Oceania and Antarctica to their heart’s content.
The main contents of this update as follows:
13 new countries and regions have been added to the game’s flight area, covering the skies of 28 non-sovereign territories.
150 new attractions have been added to the game with this update, including:
- The four Moai Stone Statues on Easter Island
- The Indonesian Signature Building – the tallest building in the Southern hemisphere
- Antarctic research bases such as Scott Base and Davis Station
- Tahiti’s Cape Venus Lighthouse
The World Update XIII update also introduced a dozen new handcrafted airports, including:
- Hawaii Kona International Airport (PHKO)
- Mataveri International Airport (SCIP) on Easter Island
- Bora Bora Airport in French Polynesia (NTTB)
5 new Discovery flights have been added:
- West Maui Mountains with DG Aviation LS8-18 Glider
- Tahiti with Cessna 152
- Tarawa, Kiribati by Guimbal Cabri G2 Helicopter
- Visit Mauna Kea volcano in Hawaii aboard Diamond Aircraft DA62
- Cessna 208B Grand Caravan, Central Java
