Microsoft is testing a new “screenshot” function in the stable version of Microsoft Edge. It is expected to replace the existing “webpage capture” tool and the overall interactive experience will be better.
It is found that users have three ways to open the “Screenshot” tool, one is through the right-click menu of the web page, the second is to open the “…” button in the upper right corner and select “Screenshot”; the third is to use Ctrl+ Shift+S key combination.
After enabling the “Snipping” tool, users can select a page area. However, unlike the “Web Capture” tool, the Snipping Tool can capture content outside the browser window, but does not support long screenshots of web pages; the “Web Capture” tool only Limited to the browser window, drop-down can select subsequent content of the web page.
After the user selects the screenshot area, there will be options such as square, circle, arrow, draw, mosaic, text, etc. In addition, users can also perform operations such as sharing, downloading, canceling, and copying.
