Microsoft is currently testing a new feature in the Edge browser. The feature will allow users to open PWA (Progressive Web App) applications directly from the address bar.
The latest discovery by Leopeva64-2 is that if a user installs a website as an app on their device, Edge’s Suggestions drop-down list in the address bar will offer a new option that will allow the user to open the website in the app.
The feature is currently being tested in the Edge Canary channel. In addition to the new feature, Canary users will also have access to a new “Install Apps” button in the address bar that makes it easy to quickly install Web apps.
There are also recent reports that Microsoft is developing a new version of the Edge browser called “Phoenix” and a new feature that allows users to split tabs into two windows.
