According to the official recruitment position posted by Microsoft yesterday, it plans to recruit a chief application scientist who will be based in Beijing and be responsible for developing SOTA AI technology for the Edge browser to accelerate the browser experience.
SOTA refers to State-of-the-Art (state-of-the-art technology). In the field of computer science and machine learning, SOTA refers to the model or algorithm that currently performs best in a specific task or field. This term is often used to describe a model that is currently considered to be the best at solving a specific problem or task.
Microsoft stated in the recruitment information: “The Edge Machine Learning team is the core scientific team behind the Edge browser. We are looking for passionate ML software engineers and application scientists to help us fulfill our mission by developing SOTA machine learning, deep learning technology to understand various web content and user behaviors to build the most intelligent web browser ever.”
