This version adds the ability to drag and drop links to open new tabs in vertical tab mode, allows resizing of the discovery panel, fixes AV1 media playback issues, and some other improvements.
New features include:
- In the vertical tab area, you can drag and drop links to any location to open a new tab of links.
- The discovery panel is now resizable.
- macOS: Added Control + Option + Command + Down shortcut to open spell-checked correction cards.
- Enterprise: Added DiscoverPageContextEnabled policy. Added a policy for configuring the Recommended Settings dialog.
Reliability improvements include:
- Fixed a browser crash when selecting text in the privacy window.
- macOS: Fixed a browser crash when prompted for proxy credentials.
- Android: Fixed a browser crash when quickly tapping the forward or back button twice.
Other changes include:
- Fixed an issue where videos could not be played on certain websites.
- Fixed an issue with AV1 media playback.
- Fixed issue with workspace not reconnecting after losing connection.
- Fixed edge://app-settings page showing “This page is blocked by Microsoft Edge” message.
- Fixed missing discovery panel title.
- Linux: Fixed spell-check suggestions not working in some cases.
- macOS: Fixed an issue where the browser did not get focus when opening links from other apps.
- WebView2: Fixed an issue with ScriptDialogOpening of type before unload (#3355)
- Lunching External URI API has been upgraded from experimental to public.
- Enterprise: Fixed issue with external unmanaged links not opening in the privacy tab on Android. Fixed an issue where shortcuts to discovery features remained active after being disabled by a policy.
Users can download Microsoft Edge Dev version 115, which supports Windows 10 and 11, Linux, macOS and Android, from the official website. Microsoft plans to release version 115 to the stable channel during the week of June 29, 2023.
