Microsoft announces SwiftKey an input method app is back on the App Store

Microsoft announced 2 months ago that its input method application SwiftKey application will no longer support iOS platform in October 2022. Microsoft also did not officially explain the reason for the removal from the Apple platform. However, Microsoft suddenly changed its mind and decided to let the input method app back on the App Store.

Pedram Rezaei (@pedram_re), CTO of Microsoft’s Maps and Local Services division, tweeted that Microsoft has decided to bring back SwiftKey input method for iOS as requested by a wide range of users. The company is currently investing heavily in the input method and will continue to bring exciting changes to follow.

SwiftKey was acquired by Microsoft for $250 million in 2016, and last year there were zero updates to SwiftKey for iOS, but now, with the project back in the App Store, you can expect it to start receiving frequent updates with new features and improvements.
