Microsoft announces Build 2023 developer conference to be held May 23-25 in Seattle

Microsoft has officially announced that the Build 2023 developer conference will take place from May 23-25. The event will combine in-person sessions and virtual events in Seattle, Washington, which will include live workshops, keynotes and more.

The Build 2023 event website is now open for registration. The virtual event will take place May 23-24 and there is no cost to attendees. Everyone will be able to watch Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella’s keynote speech, as well as other workshops and events.

The live portion of the conference will actually take place on May 22, with some pre-conference workshops, followed by the main conference in Seattle from May 23-25. Tickets for the live event cost $1,525 (currently about RMB 10,492), with an additional $225 (currently about RMB 1,548) to attend the pre-event workshops on May 22.

Microsoft has not yet announced the specific content of the Build 2023 conference. No new Surface hardware is expected to be released, some new features for Windows 11 may be announced, and it’s possible that official plans for Windows 12 will be revealed. Of course the conference is expected to have more information about Microsoft’s AI plans, including new developments in the Bing Chat chatbot.
