The Canary Channel Edge browser released by Microsoft in March this year introduced a new automatic picture-in-picture feature. When users play YouTube and other videos, after switching to other tabs, the Activate picture-in-picture mode.
According to the latest tweet shared by enthusiast @Leopeva64, Microsoft is adjusting this feature so that picture-in-picture mode will only be automatically activated when users switch applications. Picture-in-picture mode will no longer automatically turn on when users switch tabs or windows.
After switching the Edge browser to Outlook, the picture-in-picture mode will be automatically turned on, but switching tabs will not be enabled.
Microsoft has also introduced “Seek backward” (go back 10 seconds) and “Seek forward” (go forward 10 seconds) buttons in picture-in-picture mode.
