Microsoft in the Surface event held today, announced that it will start on November 1, to enterprise customers to launch AI assistant Microsoft 365 Copilot.
For Microsoft 365 E3, E5, Business Standard and Business Premium subscribers, Microsoft 365 Copilot will cost $30 per user per month.
Microsoft also released a supplemental support document today announcing plans for the Microsoft 365 Copilot plug-in and plans to share more details at the Nov. 14-17 Ignite conference.
In the documentation, Microsoft said that organizations have created a number of plug-ins through tools such as Teams Information Extension, Power Platform Connector and Microsoft Graph Connector.
Two examples are shown in the document, travel company Amadeus, which creates plug-ins that reduce time spent switching applications and provide productivity, and Wells Fargo, which uses natural language to ask about system health and diagnostics for specific services.
It was previously reported that with Microsoft 365 Copilot, business users can summarize documents or give tasks such as writing emails to the AI assistant, which can also use information from other files to create entirely new Word projects or provide real-time highlights of Teams meetings, provide visual data or make predictions, and even tell users how to perform certain actions in Excel to perform certain actions.
