MG Cyberster EV is available for pre-order, three models launched

MG Cyberster officially opened pre-orders today, including three models: Heartbeat Edition, Transcendence Zhiyuan Edition and Legend Four-wheel Drive Edition. The new car is positioned as a soft-top convertible electric sports car. The car will be launched at the end of this year and exported to overseas markets such as the United Kingdom in 2024.

The car adopts a two-door, two-seat soft-top convertible design and is equipped with a scissor door structure common in supercar models. The door handles are replaced by touch buttons. In addition, the rear shape of the car is quite recognizable: in addition to the through-type light strip, the taillight group adopts an arrow shape.

It was previously reported that the new car had been approved by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in April this year. The length, width and height are 4535/1913/1329mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 2690mm.

The interior of the new car is overall in burgundy color, the cockpit shows an embracing posture, the center control panel is said to be made of shredded carbon fiber, and the steering wheel is hand-stitched with NAPPA chrome-free tanned leather.

In terms of power, the car provides two types of power, single motor models and dual motor models. Among them, the maximum power of low-power models is 231kW, and the maximum power of high-power models can reach 250kW. In terms of dual-motor models, the new car is equipped with a 150kW permanent magnet synchronous motor on the front axle and a 250kW permanent magnet synchronous motor on the rear axle. The car’s fastest acceleration time from 0-100 km/h is 3.2 seconds. The new car is available with two capacity batteries, 64kWh and 77kWh, corresponding to the three models’ cruising ranges of 501km, 520km and 580km respectively.
